For a long time, I thought tight was tight. That tight doesn't know any compromises. So either tight, or not tight. Half-tight? Nope. A bucket of water is leakproof. A coffee cup is leakproof. Or a pair of rain trousers. Wrong idea. EU standard 343 defines when rainwear is waterproof. Some of it is not waterproof at all, because the stuff is supposed to breathe. In Germany, for example, a rain jacket is considered waterproof if it can withstand a water column of 1300 mm (pressure). In Switzerland, a jacket has to withstand 4000 mm to be waterproof. And even then, water penetrates at some point. In short, let's say goodbye to the myth that rainwear is really waterproof.
Now for the Dirtsuit Pro. It worked well, but I still got a wet bum from time to time. Where the pressure is particularly high - water penetrated the seat area in heavy rain (despite the 15000 mm water column!): Wet bum. Annoying! Otherwise the suit offered me good weather protection. The material is more stubborn than the Endura Onepiece MT500, for example, but it's okay to wear. Practical: the many ventilation slits and a hood that fits over the helmet.
