Gorewear may not be reinventing the tried-and-tested Endure Gore-Tex rain jacket, but it is presenting a limited edition in three modern colour variants. The jacket is just as perfect for commuting as it is for bikepacking, day tours and more. In short: for all those who appreciate a hood on a rain jacket when cycling.

Gorewear is known for its functional and waterproof sports and outdoor clothing. The Endure kit guarantees that cyclists stay dry even in bad weather. The rainwear is also ideal for bikepacking adventures thanks to its compact size, hood and other features. A limited edition of the Endure rain jacket is now available in three great colours.

The Gorewear Endure Gore-Tex jacket in practice

The "normal" We already had the Endure jacket in our BIKE test. Part of our test conclusion was as follows:

The Endure is a lightweight jacket with a sporty cut and no frills. Its fit is close to ideal: perfectly fitting sleeves, a sufficiently long rear and a hood that fits comfortably over the helmet. - Stefan Frey, test editor

Gore Wear's Endure kit proved its worth in everyday use during a long-distance road bike race. At an event at the end of April, the goal was to cover a good 1000 kilometres with 10,000 metres of altitude. The weather forecast was the opposite of inviting. Rain, snow, wind and cold. According to the weather forecast, not only a jacket was on the packing list, but also short and long rain trousers.

The rain jacket and rain trousers lasted longer than the knees, which were finished after 450 kilometres. The rain gear defied rain, spray and snow. Only the hands got wet. "The rain gear was great, only the hood kept flying off my head. I wish I'd looked at how to adjust it beforehand, I couldn't feel the adjustment mechanism hidden in the collar with my thick gloves on," says the tester, whose knees are now pain-free again. The zip tags on the pockets in front of the stomach are perfectly adequate for everyday use, but sometimes it wasn't easy to feel and grip them with gloves on. All in all, the Endure jacket was convincing, as were the short and long rain trousers from Gorewear's Endure collection.
