Sporty bikers will find classic softshell jackets to be reliable training partners. Insulation specialists provide better warmth on slow rides.

The classic softshell is still an ideal choice for protection in frosty weather. Because it reliably blocks wind and moisture, but at the same time allows a lot of sweat to escape, it is particularly suitable for sporty riders and intensive winter activities.

Due to the flexibility of the material, softshell jackets can be perfectly tailored to the cycling position. But there are also insulation specialists. Especially for the touring bikers who shiver more quickly.

Almost more important than the right insulation, however, is the optimum fit. Only if the collar is set high and fits snugly around the neck will the wind not whistle unpleasantly into your neck. Long and flexible cuffs close the gap to the gloves. An extended back warms the kidneys and at the same time protects the bum from splashing water.

However, the innovative materials and clever details of our test jackets also come at a price. You will have to pay at least 200 euros for one of these warmers. But staying at home is definitely no longer an option with these five MTB winter jackets.
