Camouflage: Fox Defend thermal jersey and trousers
I have a weakness for camo. That's why I bought the Defend Fire cold-weather trousers last autumn, together with the Defend Thermo jersey.

I used these trousers to test the bikes, for after-work rides and for my daily commute to the office. The trousers are dirt and water repellent, very robust, comfortable to wear and, above all, nice and warm. The workmanship is good, but one seam came undone during use. It may look stylish, but in practice the ankle is exposed and exposed to the cold, rain and snow. It is also difficult to slip out of the trousers. I wore the thermal jersey in combination with a long-sleeved functional shirt, so the windproof jersey works great up to around six degrees Celsius.

The material is comfortable. Practical: the option of pulling the extended collar over the mouth, nose or even head. Unfortunately, there are no zips at the armpits for ventilation.

Price150 euros (trousers), 130 euros (jersey)

STRENGTHS: Keeps warm, repels dirt/water, processing

WEAKNESSEStoo narrow leg end, expensive

ConclusionFunctional winter suit. Small detail weakness in the trousers. Top and expensive.

Born in South Baden, Laurin Lehner is, by his own admission, a lousy racer. Maybe that's why he is fascinated by creative, playful biking. What counts for him is not how fast you get from A to B, but what happens in between. Lehner writes reports, interviews scene celebrities and tests products and bikes - preferably those with a lot of suspension travel.
