No natural motif is described more frequently in poetry than autumn. At no other time of year are more people drawn to the mountains, mountain huts or forests. And only in the autumn months does the clear air allow unimagined views, the leaves on the trees glow in a wide variety of colours and the sun shines in a warmer light than in the third season. Bikers shouldn't miss out on this either. After all, those who hole up at home now are missing out on the most beautiful and varied time of the year.
Autumn is not as capricious as summer with its sudden thunderstorms and weather changes. Autumn is more predictable, more predictable, the weather is more stable. But the temperature spectrum is broad. The damp cold creeps into your bones, especially in the morning hours. And once it has rained, the puddles often last for days on the trails.
