Wheeler Falcon 20
Tight marathon bike with full XT equipment, but high weight and inharmonious geometry.

The Falcon 20 has a classic frame shape, but with details such as plastered weld seams and partly hydroformed tubes. It is difficult to find the optimum air pressure for the shock setup. A lot of air makes the bike insensitive - a few PSI less makes it sag. High weight and unbalanced geometry slow you down on the first climb. The excessively slack seat tube angle puts a lot of weight on the rear wheel, causing the shock to sag when the setup is soft. The oversized handlebar, which is pulled far outwards, prevents good positioning of the brake levers. The grips with mini bar ends also restrict downhill riding.

CONCLUSIONS: Tight marathon bike with full XT equipment, but high weight and inharmonious geometry.

TUNING TIP: different grips, lighter tyres with better grip.
