Marathon racer with successful geometry and consistently solid equipment, but with suspension weaknesses and a little overweight.

An old acquaintance in the test is the Taiga FS Race. Despite high-quality equipment throughout, the weight stabilises at 12.5 kilograms without pedals and limits the light-footed handling. The 3.1-kilo frame including the shock plays a part in this. The rear suspension reacts to acceleration with drive influences. Even the strong compression set-up of the shock cannot suppress a compression of the suspension (bobbing). The switchable pedal platform is therefore a must on climbs. On downhills, the wide handlebars ensure good control and the suspension is as sensitive as it is active.

CONCLUSIONS: Marathon racer with successful geometry and consistently solid equipment, but with suspension weaknesses and a little overweight.

TUNING TIP: No tuning necessary
