The fact that both have the same total weight is due to the comparatively weak equipment of the Stomp. The modular system allows customers to put together their own bike. Due to the high frame price and in order to integrate it into the required price range, the Austrians have little room for luxury in the specification - in contrast to the Red Bull or Votec mentioned above. The Stomp can only realise its full potential (weight) if you invest a few more euros in the equipment.
But let's focus on the centrepiece, the frame: Simplon has optimised the suspension kinematics with a view to efficiency. The pivot points have been changed slightly and the bobbing tendency of the first models is a thing of the past.
