If you look at the weight of 10.65 kilos, the plan works. Only the fork weighs a little more. Thanks to the flat cockpit, the Cirex climbs excellently despite the longer fork. The rear end remains very stable even in open mode. However, the rear end doesn't react to subtleties and lacks traction and comfort. However, when the bumps get bigger, the rear suspension releases a lot of travel, which is why we would have liked more progression (volume spacers) despite the low sag. The componentry leaves nothing to be desired. Magura MT8 with large discs front and rear, Rocket Ron tyres and DT Swiss remote levers leave a very harmonious impression.
Conclusion: harmonious equipment, balanced riding position and more suspension travel. Only the rear suspension is a little weak and lacks traction.
The alternative: The Cirex 120 XTE 22 with 2x11 XT drivetrain, Reba fork and telescopic seatpost is available for €2000 less.
