The Radon Skeen Carbon is more of an all-rounder with low weight than a racy racing machine.

The Skeen has already shown what it is capable of in various versions. Despite the slightly longer fork, the bike with its carbon main frame and aluminium rear triangle is one of the lightest in the test and responds readily to pedal pressure. And yet: The Skeen is recommended more as a tourer than a racer. This is mainly due to the balanced, not too sporty riding position. The suspension is sensitive, but without a platform the rear end tends to bob. According to the manufacturer, this should be eliminated in series production with a new damper setup. Thanks to the extra suspension travel and the successful handling, the Skeen is broadly positioned and could also compete with the best 29ers downhill. As is typical for mail order bikes, the equipment is top-notch.

Conclusion: more of an all-rounder with low weight than a racy racing machine.

PLUS Low weight, top handling downhill
MINUS Drive influences, low frame rigidity
