The product managers have rectified points of criticism such as the missing dropper post for the 2022 model year. However, the Urta SLR can't hide its biggest weakness this year either: in our test lab, the frame once again delivers stiffness values that are far below average. The test impressions on the race track confirm this. On rough trails and when cornering at speed, the bottom bracket area in particular twists noticeably. The Urta is reluctant to turn precise steering movements into snappy changes of direction. On the other hand, the Wilier scores points for acceleration.
Peter Nilges, BIKE Test Manager: With the Urta, Wilier is launching a successful attack on the established racefully celebrities. For 2022, the Italians have upgraded the dropper post, which means that the lightweight can now also cope with the most technical race tracks.

The test report costs 1.99 euros. Why not free of charge? Because quality journalism has a price. In return, we guarantee independence and objectivity. This applies in particular to the tests in BIKE. We don't charge for them, but the opposite is the case: we do charge for them - tens of thousands of euros every year.
