On the trail, the 29-inch front wheel of the Liteville 101 Trail factory bike unyieldingly sticks to the specified line. It guides you safely through rough root passages and greasy bends. The smaller 27.5-inch rear wheel, on the other hand, saves weight, accelerates better and awakens the playfulness of the trail bike. Above all, however, the wheel mix gives the 101 a certain good-naturedness. If you push the trail bike to its limits in corners, the rear wheel always loses grip first. As a result, the bike drifts across the trail, but always remains controllable. There are no nervously rubbing front tyres with this combination.
The slightly low-profile Racing Ralph tyre at the rear supports this character. Despite a manageable 125 millimetres of travel at the front, Liteville relies on a massive Rock Shox Pike, which, in combination with the large front wheel, leaves nothing to be desired downhill. Details such as a sag indicator, hidden tools in the thru-axle, an integrated spare bolt for the derailleur hanger and the option of fitting a 29er wheel in the rear triangle make the 101 unique. The tubeset was inherited from its big brother, the 301. The equipment is solid, you don't need more bike. For long-distance fans, there is a lighter Marathon version of the Liteville 101.
