The racing note of the KTM Score RC 3.0 screams racing. A sporty riding position with a significant saddle rake, very steep angles and an aggressive orange colour scheme speak for themselves. However, the fact that you can also race with tyres wider than 2.1 inches and handlebars wider than 580 millimetres - and with increasing bike control - doesn't seem to have sunk in at KTM yet. Although you benefit from the sporty riding position on the climbs, the high weight makes for sluggish handling. In addition, some of the energy is lost in the constantly moving, sensitive suspension and requires the switchable lockout.
ConclusionThe concept doesn't quite work. There is a lack of propulsion for a marathon bike and the handling is too uncertain for a tourer.
