Fast uphill and fast downhill. The Ghost scores points for all the demands placed on a marathon bike. With a sporty riding position and steep seat angle, the geometry is successful and gives the bike good climbing characteristics. The Fox suspension works sensitively and yet remains calm when pedalling hard. Due to the low compression damping in the basic setup, the rear suspension utilises the available travel very well and feels even more plush than the fork. The 180 mm XT brake discs at the front and rear ensure reliable braking performance.
CONCLUSIONS: Visually inconspicuous, rational bike with very good suspension and high-quality equipment for marathon touring. Not a dazzler.
TUNING TIP: Retrofit screw handles.
