Cube AMS 100: new race bike for 2017
With the AMS 100, Cube is presenting its classic bike in a new carbon guise in 2017. In addition to the completely new design, the low weight in particular should appeal to marathon racers and touring cyclists.

Most recently, Cube has expanded its broad Stereo range with touring and enduro bikes now the Race-Fully AMS 100 has also been given a new design for 2017.

According to the Upper Palatinate company, the new carbon frame should weigh just 1550 grams (without shock) and does not utilise the stereo design with a vertical shock. In contrast to a design with a vertical shock, the classic four-bar design offers space for a second bottle cage - also because the rocker has been designed to be very compact.

All three versions of the new Cube AMS come with a high-quality C:68 carbon frame with a higher fibre content and lower weight. Versions with the cheaper C:62 carbon blends or aluminium tubes have been omitted. The entry-level model costs 3999 euros, the top version 5999 euros.

Newmen components ensure low weight

Newmen is the new component brand from former Liteville boss Michi Grätz. In 2017, Cube is exclusively equipping its AMS top model and a few racing bikes with their add-on parts and wheels. One highlight: the 29er carbon wheelset weighs just 1200 grams with a rim width of 22 millimetres.

For weight reasons, the new Eagle groupset from Sram was also not chosen for the drivetrain and a conventional XX1 1x11 drivetrain with Raceface Next crankset was installed.
