"Allow me, Frank Drebin, special task force." The naked gun (Leslie Nielsen) solves the case in his own way. Drebin is the most unconventional of the special investigators. Dry, deadly serious, he doesn't fit into any mould, but he succeeds. Corratec also goes outside the norm with the Inside Link.
The full-carbon chassis and the luxury equipment immediately catch the eye. The fact that the bike rolls on 27.5 mm wheels and has 65/80 millimetres of travel is not yet noticeable. You read that right: 65 millimetres of travel at the rear, 80 at the front. That's not a production error, it's the programme. Racing plays the biggest role in Corratec's history. The Inside-Link suspension developed by Trackster Racing eliminates drive influences (bobbing). Corratec is the first company to use this system and forges a thoroughbred race fully from it. Nothing rocks when pedalling, even without lockout the bike climbs like a hardtail. Chain tension puts the suspension in standby mode. Whether the concept is up to date is up to you to decide. It would be exciting with 100/120 mm travel. But it is still amazing how well the bike rides downhill despite the short suspension travel. This is where the narrow handlebars and the low-profile tyres set the speed limit. The permitted 100 kg payload (and the moderate stiffness) indicate that jockeys are better off here than weightlifters. The Rosenheim-based company wants to prove that the Inside Link C 65 is the fastest race fully in the spring. We are excited.
Conclusion Low weight, minimal suspension travel, minimal drive influences: With the Inside Link, Corratec appeals to hardliners whose greatest asset is sheer propulsion.
PLUS Drive efficiency, uncompromising concept realisation
MINUS Only three frame sizes, narrow handlebars, small range of use
