Conway's Q-MF 1000 is launched with VPP rear suspension and convincingly high-quality equipment. Nevertheless, the bike is slightly overweight. A quick glance at the data sheet reveals the 2914 gram frame to be the second heaviest in the test group. However, the successful geometry in combination with the central riding position and the good cockpit ensure very good handling. Although the rear suspension yields a generous 115 millimetres in the lab, it remains stable in practice even when pedalling out of the saddle and complements the firm SID fork perfectly. Downhill it is not very comfortable, but thanks to the low bottom bracket, flat steering angle and long chainstays it is very smooth and controlled.
