Carver makes no compromises and consistently equips the "Pure 501" with Shimano's "XT" components - not a matter of course in this price range. The top-of-the-range "Reba" fork from Rock Shox also shows that the Carver makers have calculated carefully. On the trail, the "Pure 501" is more sporty than comfortable. With the long stem, you have a lot of pressure on the front wheel and can climb the steepest ramps. However, there are also lighter bikes in this class, which clearly speaks against sport and marathon use.
CONCLUSION: Well-equipped sports bike with very good climbing characteristics.
TUNING TIPFor all-rounders: A shorter stem works wonders.
