Canyon Nerve MR 9.0 SL
The Canyon Nerve is light, very well made and superbly equipped. Only the fork disturbs the perfect marathon idyll. More athlete than tourer.

Low weight and top equipment (partly XTR) - that's not surprising with Canyon. The attention to detail in particular shows that the Koblenz-based company is passionate about its mission. With a low front end and wide cockpit, the Nerve MR climbs even steep ramps and has a lively character thanks to the low wheel weight. At 71.9 degrees, the seat angle is one of the slacker in comparison. The secure, balanced handling is also impressive on downhill sections. In terms of suspension harmony, however, the DT Swiss fork disturbs the overall picture. It is over-damped and reluctant to respond to quick hits. This does not go well with the sporty, firm rear triangle. The aluminium frame is quite heavy.

Conclusion: light, very well made and superbly equipped. Only the fork disturbs the perfect marathon idyll. More athlete than tourer.

PLUS Low overall weight, super equipment
MINUS Heavy frame, over-damped fork
