The equipment is consistent: complete Shimano SLX groupset, suspension elements from Rock Shox, Schwalbe tyres - components that the team also rides. The frame is prepared for the installation of a dropper post, has a tapered head tube and a thru-axle at the front. It scores full points for stiffness. On the scales, the chassis weighs in at 2.9 kilos, which is average for the class (cf. BIKE Test All Mountains 5/11->), the same applies to the overall and wheel weight. Of course, at around 13.5 kilos, the Wild Mojo feels heavier than the Centurion on the test lap.
However, the geometry and therefore the riding position are pleasing, and the steep seat angle ensures good power transfer. The kinematics of the rear triangle have been revised, but it still shows certain drive influences in the small chainring, and when pedalling out of the saddle you can feel the suspension pumping. This is also due to the linear shock characteristics and the long suspension travel. Downhill, the fun begins: the stiff chassis shoots over rough sections at high speed, the steering feels stable and the fat tyres underline the high level of riding safety. We have to criticise the workmanship: the seat tube scratched the seat post, there is no chainstay protector and the cable routing to the rear brake is suboptimal.
Conclusionvisually appealing touring fully with plenty of suspension travel and riding comfort. Solid equipment, reasonable price.
