The Spaniards from BH (pronounced Bie-Aitsch) have been sending the Lynx 4 race bike to the starting line for a year now. The rear triangle design in particular sets the 100-millimetre carbon racer apart from the competition. The system patented by Dave Weagle is only used by BH on race bikes in Europe. The system promises to work perfectly in every situation and to be very effective. A 142 millimetre long X12 thru-axle provides a lot of stiffness in the rear triangle. Similar to Trek's ABP system, the Split Pivot rear triangle works independently and decoupled from the braking forces. All key data on the system and the individual components can be found at www.split-pivot.com.
In addition to four aluminium versions, BH offers four carbon fibre models of the Lynx 4. The 9.8 version of the Lynx 4 comes with a beautifully designed carbon fibre frame with Fox elements, a complete XTR groupset and DT Tricon wheels and costs 6500 euros - at a weight of 10.5 kilos.
