The narrow handlebars and the flat cockpit dictate the direction of travel: a straight gallop forwards! Bergamont's "Evolve 7.8" is aimed at sporty riders for whom propulsion and manoeuvrable handling (short wheelbase, steep steering angle) are more important than comfort, as the suspension feels firm. The lockout lever that can be operated on the handlebars, the narrow, hard saddle and the "Racing Ralph" tyres suit the area of use. Downhill, the bike requires a firm hand - good-natured is defined differently. The unanimous opinion is that you are better off on winding low mountain trails than on Lake Garda.
CONCLUSIONS: The Bergamont "Evolve 7.8" is a cross-country machine. Sporty, firm and propulsion-orientated.
TUNING TIP: Fit a more comfortable saddle.
