Zéfal brings the Deflector M65 has launched a new mudguard set that has been specially developed to meet the requirements of modern mountain bikes. The set, consisting of a front and rear mudguard, is designed to protect bikers from splash water and mud. Regardless of whether they are travelling off-road or on their daily commute in the city. Zéfal Deflector M65 MTB mudguards: universal mounting system for easy installation
The Zéfal Deflector M65 MTB mudguards have a universal mounting system that is designed to enable uncomplicated installation on the frame and fork. It is based on adjustable Velcro straps that allow flexible adaptation to different frame and fork geometries.
Diameters of 10 to 55 millimetres are provided for attachment to the suspension fork, while the frame attachment is designed for tube diameters of 10 to 32 millimetres.
This mounting flexibility should make it possible to quickly fit the mudguards to almost any mountain bike without the need for special tools or devices on the frame.
Different wheel sizes and tyre widths
Another feature of the Zéfal mudguard set is its height adjustability. This function allows the position of the mudguards to be optimally adapted to the respective bike. This means that the mudguards can be positioned as close as possible to the tyre, regardless of the type of bike, to ensure maximum protection against splash water and dirt.

The MTB mudguards Deflector M65 sets are made of glass fibre-reinforced polypropylene. This choice of material is intended to ensure a high level of stability and robustness that meets the requirements of off-road use.
At the same time, the weight of the set totalling 590 grams (260 grams for the front mudguard and 330 grams for the rear mudguard) remains within an acceptable range for mountain bikes.
The mudguards are generously dimensioned to provide comprehensive protection: The front mudguard measures 515 x 65 x 200 millimetres (length x width x height), while the rear mudguard is even larger at 710 x 65 x 260 millimetres.
Soft pads protect frame & components
In addition to protecting the rider from splash water and dirt, Zéfal has also focussed on protecting the bike. The attachment points of the mudguards are fitted with soft padding and the straps have a silicone coating.
These measures are intended to prevent paint damage or abrasion to the frame and fork when fitting the mudguards. This is particularly relevant for high-quality mountain bikes with carbon frames or special paintwork, where every scratch can not only be visually significant, but also financially.
