Germany's most prominent racing cyclist Johannes Fischbach loves racing: whether it's UCI Downhill, EDR-E World Cup or City Downhill. He has developed his own puncture protection system to prevent him from getting a flat tyre during a race. Now he is launching the next stage of development on the market: the Tire Trooper Evo.

According to Johannes Fischbach, the new tyre insert provides an impressive +90% more protection on the test bench compared to driving without an insert and is said to improve the driving characteristics on top.

The insert is therefore suitable for ambitious racers as well as all hobby riders and bike park shredders and is designed to help prevent annoying punctures. The Tire Trooper Evo has a special "Double Layer System" with a specially developed material mix that progressively absorbs incoming impacts and dissipates the energy onto the rim in a cushioned manner.

The new design also places highly cushioning material where it is needed most to provide efficient protection. In the event of large impacts, the Trooper is placed protectively over the rim flange, absorbing impacts on the wheel and thus offering significantly increased protection against damage. The combination of different materials and degrees of hardness should not only offer the best puncture protection, but also provide optimised damping on stone fields, root carpets and bumps of all kinds. According to test results on the rim test bench (Tire Trooper test bench), the maximum load capacity of your rims is increased by a whopping 90%, while most conventional puncture protection systems achieve up to 50%. The Tire Trooper Evo also has a positive effect on driving behaviour, as it reduces vibrations and allows you to drive with lower tyre pressure and even reduces annoying "burping" and "rolling".

Over the last few years, I have spent every spare minute tinkering and testing the new Trooper, because I know from my many years of experience in the World Cup, but also on my home trails, how much potential there is in product development in this area. Many visits to trade fairs and appointments in the plastics industry to find the perfect material mix; the search for the ideal production facility, countless prototype tests and much more. - A lot of work and passion went into it. I am all the more proud of the product we have created. - Johannes Fischbach, thoroughbred racer

When we were on the test bench with the finished TIRE TROOPER EVO, the +90 % result really blew us away, because it even exceeded our goal and our expectations with regard to the competition. The Trooper also saved me a complete World Cup this season in Bellwald after I slashed my tyre on a rock and still managed to finish a complete stage at race pace without any air. - Johannes Fischbach, thoroughbred racer

Born in South Baden, Laurin Lehner is, by his own admission, a lousy racer. Maybe that's why he is fascinated by creative, playful biking. What counts for him is not how fast you get from A to B, but what happens in between. Lehner writes reports, interviews scene celebrities and tests products and bikes - preferably those with a lot of suspension travel.
