New eContact Plus cargo bike tyre: Continental launches bicycle tyres for cargo and commuter e-bikes

Conti's latest special tyre is aimed at riders of cargo e-bikes as well as commuters and touring cyclists who value safety and a long service life. The tyre combines high mileage with low rolling resistance. This is achieved through a compact tread pattern and high puncture protection. The eContact Plus is equipped with the SafetyPlus Pro Breaker, a combination of a highly flexible rubber insert with the proven strength of tightly woven and puncture-resistant PolyX fibres. This makes the tyre particularly resistant to cuts and punctures and is even designed to protect against nails and glass splinters. When driving with heavy loads, the Safety Plus Pro Breaker contributes to safe driving behaviour in heavy traffic and sharp bends, regardless of the conditions. The high elasticity keeps the rolling resistance low and thus increases the range of the e-bikes.

The eContact Plus is available in all standard wheel sizes

The eContact Plus is available in sizes from 50-406 to 62-622 for e-bikes and e-cargo bikes with a speed of up to 50 km/h. The load capacity is up to 128 kilograms per tyre. The latest urban tyre is also certified for S-pedelecs. For additional safety when riding in the dark, the eContact Plus has a reflective strip on the tyre sidewall. The reflective strip increases 360-degree visibility and thus provides protection even on busy roads and in poor light conditions.
