It rarely happens that the latex milk in the tyre dries out. At least if the tyres are changed frequently. Not so with this tyre. The Minion DHR2 fitted to the front wheel in January 2014 lasted a good year and over 3000 kilometres without a puncture. Whether in dusty conditions or mud, the 29-inch tyre with its sophisticated triple rubber compound always offered sufficient grip and rolled absolutely acceptably. There was simply no need to change tyres. The Minion collected its kilometres on the Isar trails, in the Alps and at an enduro race in South Africa. A temporary switch to spikes meant that the Minion had to make way after all. The latex milk had completely dried out. Even more astonishing: the tread and the edges of the tyre have hardly suffered after all these kilometres.
