As we all know, enduro bikes tend to mutate more and more into chubby mini downhillers. Not with me! So I opted for the Wild AM2 trail tyre from Michelin.

And lo and behold: they roll fast without giving away cornering grip. At least on single trails. Wild enduro or even downhill descents push the casing to its limits. The result: snakebites! The Wild AM2 is a trail tyre and not a reinforced downhill tyre. The French use two rubber compounds for the Wild AM2. Hard in the centre and soft on the sides. This noticeably ensures a long service life with good grip. In short: Michelin's Wild is recommended as a "daily" tyre and for home trail laps. The balance between grip, durability, weight and rolling resistance is just right. If you're heading to the bike park or an enduro race, a softer tyre with more puncture resistance is advisable. The Michelin Wild Enduro, for example, on which race legend Sam Hill won the EWS twice.

Conclusion on the Michelin Wild AM2:

The trail tyre is recommended for anyone who wants to make their enduro bike more trail-ready. The tyre is too susceptible to punctures on rough enduro or downhill trails.
