For two years now, we've been whipping our Canyon Sender long-term test big bike around the park tracks (page 100) and don't want to give it up. Everything fits here. The reason for the euphoria is also the tyres. The Maxxis Minion downhill tyres (1315 g) with their tough casing offer so much puncture protection that we don't even think about a spare tube. The grip is also excellent. Only now, after two years of use, have the studs rubbed down so far that the rear wheel often breaks out into a new-school slide. But it's also exciting to see how a tyre slowly changes its character but still remains controllable.

Price: 74,50 Euro

STRENGTHS Grip & protection, durability

WEAKNESSES Expensive

Conclusion: A top tyre that gave no cause for criticism. Lots of grip, lots of puncture protection.
