Turbine R: new telescopic post from Race Face
With the new Turbine R, the technology of Race Face dropper posts has changed from the ground up. The new model is now based on the Fox Transfer post, no longer on the 9Point8 models.

Until now, the Race Face Turbine dropper post was technically based on the 9Point8. This will change fundamentally for the coming season. For the new Turbine R, the parent company Fox has been utilised. Visually and technically, the new dropper post is now identical to the cheaper Fox Transfer Performance model.

The new design also requires a new lever, as the cable is clamped the other way round on the Fox supports. At the same time, the lever has also been slightly enlarged and made more ergonomic so that it is more comfortable and safer to use in its main area of application, enduro. The new lever is compatible with the old Race Face seatposts and is equipped with a matchmaker mount. Alternatively, the lever can also be used with a classic clamp.

The seat post itself has also been tweaked for the coming season. The extension speed has been slightly increased and the shims in the post have been adjusted so that lateral play should no longer be a problem even after a long period of use.

The Turbine R will be available in two diameters (30.9 and 31.6 millimetres) and three different lengths (100, 125 and 150 millimetres). Without the lever, the new post will weigh 545 grams. The price is 399.90 euros, the lever (1x lever or universal lever) is not included in the scope of delivery.
