If you pull the plug on the stylish cardboard tube in which Bike Yoke sends its supports, you will find the necessary mounting material such as the outer sleeve, cable pull and cable pull barrel in addition to the support. This now connects the post to the cable, which should make assembly a little easier. Also included are four spacers for stroke reduction, a lever for the reset function on the post head and an adapter for the shock pump, for which the valve would otherwise sit too deep in the post. The assembly instructions are available in both English and German and are very clear and detailed, which makes installation much easier. Small note: The operating instructions still show the installation with the old cable clamp on the support and should be revised.
As with most other supports, you also have to order the remote separately for the Revive. Here you have the choice between the classic Triggy (45 euros) and the Triggy Alpha (65 euros), with high-quality ball bearings, which is also available in two lever lengths. All Triggy levers are compatible with Sram Matchmaker clamps as standard, Shimano I-Spec adapters are available separately, as is a classic handlebar clamp.
The cable, remote and post are very easy to fit, all you need is a 3mm Allen key and a small clamping barrel. The instructions are clear and detailed, but refer in part to the old linkage at the bottom of the post, which caused confusion during assembly.
Hardly any other telescopic seat post is as easy to fit as the Bike Yoke. You don't have to completely unscrew any screws and can easily slide the frame between the mounts. The high-quality bolts also run extremely smoothly!
How does the telescopic support get onto the bike? It's actually quite simple. With our step-by-step guide the installation of the lowerable seat post is no problem.
The high-quality Triggy with ball bearings can be positioned almost ideally and adjusted to the thumb in three levels. Everyone will find the right position here. One small drawback: there are only two holes for lateral adjustment instead of one slotted hole. The lever runs easily and smoothly, with little resistance and very short lever travel, and can be finely adjusted. With its ribbing, it lies comfortably and with a good feel on the thumb.
Hardly any other post runs as smoothly as the Bike Yoke. The end stop is very noticeable and the pressure required to lower the seatpost is pleasantly low over the entire stroke. Only the breakaway force is a little high, so that the saddle needs to be relieved slightly to lower the seatpost. The locking mechanism on the Revive is quite small. If you accidentally pull it up by the saddle, it quickly draws air and then sags slightly when you sit on it. However, the problem can be solved in no time at all with a 4mm Allen key. Simply turn the reset screw and the post is deflated. It is then absolutely stable in its stroke again - a very clever solution.
Lovingly packaged and with a very high-quality finish, the Revive cuts a fine figure right from the start. The post runs silky smooth, without any play and glides through the stroke with little pressure. The ball-bearing lever can be adjusted extensively and offers maximum ease of use. The bleeding function is a clever solution. The extension speed can also be adjusted using the damper pump. Minimal deductions are made for the low locking mechanism and the weight. Otherwise: Top!
