As with the Revive, which we also tested, Bike Yoke sends everything you need to mount the post in a stylish cardboard tube, with the exception of the remote. If you already have a lever, you can start fitting straight away. The necessary instructions are also included in the scope of delivery, so you don't have to search the website for a long time.
In contrast to the Revive, the Divine SL comes with titanium saddle clamp bolts and a weight-optimised saddle mount as standard. The tubes are butted and machined to save even more weight.
A special tool is required to fit the train to the support. Although this is supplied with the support, the installation is more complex than with conventional supports, especially for the initial installation. Fortunately, the operating instructions provide the necessary information in a clear and precise manner. The special tool is also required to remove the cable, so be sure to keep it in a safe place. At the front, the inner cable can be connected to the triggy as usual using a 3mm Allen key. Top: The end cap is neatly fixed in a small recess in the lever.
The Divine SL has a special feature in its design that is unique in its kind: because the control for the lowering mechanism is located far inside the down tube, the seatpost can be shortened by a few centimetres if necessary. This allows you to save a few more grams of weight on the post, which is already light for its 30.9 mm diameter.
How does the telescopic support get onto the bike? It's actually quite simple. With our step-by-step guide the installation of the lowerable seat post is no problem.
In contrast to the Revive, which is controlled with the same lever, the Divine SL requires quite high operating forces. This can be uncomfortable in race mode if you are already feeding all your power into your legs, which are culling at the limit. Otherwise, the remote can be customised almost perfectly to the rider's needs. Lateral position, angle and height - the Triggy can be adjusted in all three planes.
In addition to the fact that the Divine SL is virtually free of lateral play and glides very cleanly in its guidance, the extension speed can also be adjusted to suit individual preferences. However, the preset starting value should already be suitable for many riders. At the end stop, the Divine engages with a clearly audible click, so that you are always well informed about the position of the support.
Another special feature: the Divine SL is firmly fixed in both the upper and lower positions. This allows you to quickly lift the bike over an obstacle without having to worry about damaging the function of the support.
Like the Revive, the Bike Yoke Divine is of extremely high quality, glides smoothly in its guides and has no play on the saddle. In the lowest position, the seatpost is firmly locked in place - good for quick pushes. Depending on the version, the stem can be shortened by up to 115 mm, which saves additional weight. The Divine SL extends quickly (speed adjustable) and engages audibly. Points are deducted for the somewhat more complex assembly and the surprisingly heavy running triggy lever.
