Originally designed as a saddle for gravel bikes, the Ergon SR Allroad is a comfortable alternative for sporty mountain bikers.

The wide, flat rear of the Ergon SR Allroad offers space for changing position on long tours and a light support for steep uphills. A core made of Infinergy foam from BASF is designed to dampen small vibrations.

In use on a hardtail, the saddle was actually surprisingly comfortable for a race model. At 260 grams, the weight remains within reasonable limits. The titanium struts inserted into the saddle shell made cracking noises after a short time during the ride.

Stefan Frey is from Lower Bavaria and loves the mossy, loamy trails of the Bavarian Forest as much as the rugged rock of the Dolomites. For technical descents, he is prepared to tackle almost any ascent - under his own steam. As an accessories specialist, he is the first port of call for questions about equipment and add-on parts, while as head of copywriting he sweeps the language crumbs from the pages of the BIKE print editions.
