The VS-X models from Fizik have a generous cut-out in the perineal area and are therefore very comfortable.

The look suggests pressure points at the edges of the generous recess. But the impression is deceptive: after a short familiarisation phase, we felt really comfortable on the elegant seat with carbon struts. The sitting bones were well positioned on the horizontal flanks. The perineal area is effectively relieved. The padding is somewhere between firm and pleasantly soft. Where the Antares VS X really shines, however, is on demanding trails that require a high degree of manoeuvrability without a lowered seatpost. This allows you to move easily over the bike without getting stuck with your trousers. Even when seated, there is plenty of room to shift your weight without creating pressure peaks or the saddle nose digging into your arse. Conclusion: a saddle whose qualities really come into their own on technically demanding CC trails - thumbs up!

PLUS No pressure peaks, relieves pressure on the perineal area, rounded edges
MINUS Only to be ridden with vertically clamped seat post

Weight 212 grammes
Price 199 Euro
