Reliable support: Vecnum Nivo
The Vecnum Moveloc was in one of our test bikes for three years and never gave cause for complaint. During the same period, various Rockshox reverbs and Kind Shock LEVs have drawn air.

So Vecnum can definitely build reliable supports. Now I tested the Nivo. It is the latest product from the Allgäu tinkerers; as usual, it is built entirely in Germany. The post is only available in 30.9 mm diameter. Vecnum offers adapter sleeves for the other frame sizes. The Nivo has a choice of 122, 152, 182 or an enormous 212 mm stroke and is available as a stepless or three-stage version. It is still easy to dismantle for servicing.

A new feature is that the cabling is completely internal. Visually, you can style the support with two coloured rubber rings to match the bike. The rings also have a function: they provide grip if you want to tighten the end cap by hand. I had to do this at the beginning because the cover came loose several times during the first 100 kilometres. However, with a lot of force, it eventually stayed tight. The 152 version of the support was relatively easy to fit. The internal fiddling with the cable is always a little more tedious, regardless of the manufacturer. The Trigloc lever under the handlebars is ergonomic.

The support worked for months without any problems, with a mechanical, slightly louder release noise and fast operation. The play to the front and rear was a little unsightly. It didn't look as high-quality.
