In our opinion, the most exciting Eurobike innovations were the successors to the Saddle 6OX Infinergy Ergowave: Now comes the well-known 610 from SQlab Infinergy version onto the market. In widths of 14 to 17 centimetres, it is aimed at the group of comfort-oriented riders of mountain bikes and bikers as well as sporty trekking bikes. It costs 199.95 euros.
In the near future, the 611 variant which is suitable for more bent - i.e. quite sporty - sitting positions and has carbon struts. Brand new is the special Gravel bike saddle 614 ErgowaveIt is also not yet clear when it will enter the market.
As with the 60X saddle, it is not just the material (a type of foam with balls) that is special. SQlab endeavours to keep the entire production process for all three Infinergy saddles in Germany. Only the carbon saddle rails come from Switzerland. BASF, for example, supplies the Infinergy material and the rest of the saddle also has to travel a maximum of 390 kilometres.
When it comes to gravel bikes, SQlab is also stepping up its game with ergonomically optimised handlebars. The Graveller 314 is only the second with drop bars in the range, as the Taufkirchen-based company has previously focussed more on straight or MTB handlebars. The 314 handlebars are said to weigh 299 grams and are available in widths of 400, 420, 440 and 460 millimetres. It has a 90 mm reach, 14 degree flare and 25 mm rise.
And last but not least, the Bavarian manufacturer is also showing two new gloves at Eurobike, which are already on sale. The brand new SQ-Glove One OXAX Suede is used on the palm. This material is thin, flexible and should still be durable. There are also no seams on the inside of the fingers, as SQlab uses special overlapping seams on the outside. The price is: 49.95 euros.
Slightly more robust on the top is the SQ-Glove One11 and in white. The material on the palm is also very delicate ultra-suede, and there are also overlapping seams on the fingers. The price here: 59.95 euros.
For both SQ-Gloves, SQlab offers a variety of fits that allow even wide hands with shorter fingers to find a suitable glove.
SQlab has brought out two limited special editions of its 611 series for a good cause - presumably also for the beautiful design. Wings for Life a charitable foundation for spinal cord research. The other edition donates the same amount to the German Mountain Bike Initiative (DIMB) and its "Fair on Trail" endeavours, for a friendly coexistence of bikers and hikers on the trails.
