Fox is replacing its outdated "Doss" vario support with the new "Transfer". The new Fox Transfer comes in three different stroke lengths (100, 125 and 150 millimetres) and in diameters of 30.9 and 31.6 millimetres. For a clean look, the Bowden cable for the seatpost linkage can be routed inside the seat tube; for frames without a device for internal cable routing, there is also a model with an external linkage. In addition to the lowerable seatpost, the Americans have also worked hard on the ergonomics of the remote lever.
The new remote is smaller than the lever familiar from the Doss and requires significantly less manual force. It can also be mounted to the left and right of the controls. Bikers with a single drivetrain on their bike can be happy, because Fox has another remote lever available for them, which can be mounted instead of the left shift lever.
The post with lever and cable weighs approx. 600 grams (post only 538 grams) and costs 369 euros in the factory version with Kashima coating. In addition, there is one of the two levers, which cost 79 euros each. The cheaper Transfer (Performace) changes hands for 319 euros and is only available in black. It also comes with the 79 euro remote control. The new Fox Transfer is available now. We already have a model for testing, more about this in BIKE 8/16.
