Fox has established itself as an innovator in the field of dropper posts for over a decade. For the 2025 model year, the company is now presenting the latest version of its Transfer dropper post: the Transfer Neo - now electronic with radio control. This seatpost offers a variety of improvements, including more travel, increased durability and additional functions such as app connectivity. This means that the Vario seatpost can be customised to suit individual needs.

Fox Transfer Neo: Faster response time in radio communication

The new variable seatpost from Fox is characterised by its fast response time on the radio link between the controller and hydraulics - 26 milliseconds, according to the manufacturer! The specially developed wireless protocol called "Neo" enables signal transmission that is said to be over 100 times faster than Bluetooth. This ensures almost no delay between pressing the lever and the movement of the seat post.

Ergonomic design and natural operation

According to Fox, the Transfer Neo lever was developed to provide a familiar feeling when mountain biking. A rubber-coated thumb pad mimics the texture of a regular Transfer lever, but with a shorter operating travel.

This shorter stroke allows the lever to be positioned further under the handlebar, which according to Fox is more ergonomic and should avoid contact with the rider's thumb joint.

Strategic placement of battery and controller

To eliminate problems with tyre contact during compression, Fox has mounted the battery and controller of the Transfer Neo at the lower end of the seatpost dip tube - directly above the seat clamp instead of under the saddle. like the Rockshox does with the Reverb. This should make it possible to utilise the full lowering range even in really rough passages.

Together with a 200 mm drop option in all diameters, it offers taller riders a secure downhill position and a longer stroke for demanding descents. The seals of the Transfer Neo seatpost are designed to ensure high durability even under extreme conditions.

App connectivity as a central feature of the Transfer Neo

The new Vario seatpost can be managed with the Fox Bike app. Mountain bikers can use this app to activate certain functions, such as Bike Park Mode or Transport Mode. Bike Park Mode temporarily deactivates the lever to prevent accidental actuation, and Transport Mode conserves battery power during long car journeys by switching off automatically.

The app also tracks service intervals based on usage data instead of just hours. Notifications then inform you in good time when maintenance is required.
