We know that no other seatpost is as comfortable as the S 25 VCLS post. But how does the two-piece carbon construction perform in continuous use under dirt?

Good, we can say after 3000 kilometres of hardtail use. Every now and then, small stones get stuck in the gap of the Canyon S25 VCLS 2.0 CFbut these can be washed out when installed. Even when packed in a thick crust of mud, the carbon wings don't make any creaking noises. We only noticed that the small connecting bar at the bottom of the stem was unravelling into its fibre parts when we changed the saddle. This should not be the case, but the damage has no effect on the function. The only time the micro-suspension for the rear reveals weaknesses is during assembly. You then have to dismantle the head and realign the leaf spring screw connection at the bottom of the shaft to adjust the angle.
