After all the advance praise and a test victory (BIKE 11/10->), our image of the Reverb dropper post slowly began to cloud over. Because on almost every test bike that rolled through our tests over the past few months, the 125-millimetre seatpost only worked to a limited extent or not at all. "The long hose expanded slightly under the oil pressure, which slowed the post down considerably," explains Frank Ripper from SRAM, "but we are now supplying the Reverb with a pressure-stable brake hose." This means that the dropper post will still get you up quickly even after countless drops. The hose is replaced free of charge on old models.
