Individual test: Ergon SM3 Pro Carbon saddle
The SM3 was developed in close collaboration with Wolfram Kurschat. You can feel this immediately when you sit on the 192 gram saddle with its oval carbon frame for the first time.

Although the area around the sit bones is wide for plenty of room to move, it also has a firm, sporty padding. However, the series is set to become even softer. A recess effectively relieves the perineal area, while the wide front with integrated shock absorber also provides a good support surface on the uphill.

For technical descents, he is prepared to tackle almost any ascent - under his own steam. As an accessories specialist, he is the first port of call for questions about equipment and add-on parts, while as head of copywriting he sweeps the language crumbs from the pages of the BIKE print editions.
