With the brand new Highline 11, Crankbrothers is adding a new flagship to its range of telescopic stabilisers - with an exciting new feature.

Thanks to the generous use of carbon and titanium, the top model in the series stands out visually and also saves a lot of weight. At less than 500 grams with a stroke of 170 millimetres and a diameter of 30.9 millimetres, the Crankbrothers Highline 11 is right up there with the big names in the industry such as Fox and Rockshox. Nevertheless, the price remains absolutely competitive.

Even though the use of carbon on a dropper post is nothing new in principle, the Highline 11 has an absolute novelty: the inner tube and post head are made of carbon. We were sceptical as to whether the carbon surface would be able to withstand the constant ups and downs in combination with a lot of mud and dust in the long term. But even after more than two months of tough winter use, there are no visible signs of scratching or discolouration on the surface.

Even in sub-zero temperatures, the Californian Highline 11 post performed reliably and lost none of its extension speed. The actuation is smooth and the speed is in the mid-range. So far, the Crankbrothers dropper post has performed brilliantly and is still doing its job without any problems.

PLUSLow weight; competitive price; available in many lengths from 60-170 mm stroke and in two diameters.

MINUS: Nothing so far!

Peter Nilges, BIKE test manager: "Crankbrothers is taking a special approach with the carbon top section on the new Highline 11. We were extremely sceptical as to whether the carbon fibre surface could cope with the constant movement in combination with dirt. So far, however, the Tele post has been absolutely reliable."Photo: Markus Greber Peter Nilges, BIKE test manager: "Crankbrothers is taking a special approach with the carbon top section on the new Highline 11.
