Better sitting, better biking: SQlab goes E-MTB
Ergonomic saddles can create a completely new bike experience. By specialising in E-MTB requirements, SQlab is adding a new dimension. There are also new grips for every type of bike.

Why do e-mountain bikers need a special saddle? Because they tackle steeper climbs and are less likely to get out of the saddle than non-e-mountain bikers. SQlab's new 60X saddle has a stepped design so that bikers have more support at the rear.

In addition, grippy applications on the rearmost step of the saddle prevent bikers from sliding backwards. Another feature: a wide, long saddle nose. This allows e-bikers to actively slide forwards on particularly steep climbs and still build up pressure. In this way, they counteract a rising front wheel without losing grip on the rear wheel. In addition, a high degree of lateral mobility should relieve the spine. According to SQlab, this is also particularly important on E-MTBs, as a lot of off-road pedalling is done in a seated position.

The new 60X will cost 149.95 euros and comes in three widths.

SQlab is also presenting four new grips. Range of use: from sporty trail biking to long-distance use and comfort-orientated excursions. The aim of the grips: To relieve the hands and take as much pressure off them as possible in order to be able to ride without discomfort.

Florentin Vesenbeckh has been on a mountain bike since he was ten years old. Even on his very first tour, he focussed on single trails - and even after more than 30 years in the saddle of an MTB, these are still the quintessence of biking for him. He spent his youth competing in various bike disciplines and later his cycling career was characterised by years as a riding technique coach. Professionally, the experienced test editor now focusses on e-mountainbikes. In recent years, the qualified sports scientist and trained journalist has tested over 300 bikes and more than 40 different motor systems in the laboratory and in practice.
