Canyon presents its first high-end platform pedals for MTBs, which have been developed in collaboration with professionals. Two further models of MTB pedals will follow in the course of the year.

A good pair of platform pedals can make all the difference on the trails. That's why Canyon wanted nothing less than to build the perfect MTB flat pedal. The result is pedals with excellent grip, a large footprint and a maximum load of 200 kg made from lightweight aluminium.

After more than two years of development and testing with Canyon freeride and downhill pros, the Canyon Performance MTB platform pedals ready for action. They have been tested by the best and now have premium features and materials in Canyon's minimalist style.

"If you want to push the boundaries of design and development, you need valuable feedback from riders who push these limits of what is possible on their bikes every day. So of course we were excited to work with our MTB pros on these pedals. Right from the start, they helped us identify exactly the features that make a pedal perfect - the ideal balance of grip, robustness, lightness and durability. They also gave us valuable feedback on the construction and design, which we were able to integrate into the design of the pedals. We are more than satisfied with the result." - Canyon Product Manager Johannes Wetzel on the development process
