The trailer is the most sensible way to take your offspring on tour until they are able to cycle themselves. New in Europe is the Canadian company Joytrax. The team led by former Chariot development manager Imad Assaf presents a lightweight child trailer with suspension for up to two children.
Update: Just under six months after the market launch, in October 2012, SportsPartners GmbH & Co. KG., based in Munich, discontinued the European distribution of Joytrax trailers. Since then, the company has been unavailable for further enquiries.

As head of development at market leader Chariot for many years, Imad Assaf has gained a lot of experience in the construction of children's trailers. He is now launching the latest trailer he has developed on the European market under his own brand Joytrax. Behind the model abbreviation SE2 is a two-seater child trailer with 57 millimetres of suspension travel, which can be adjusted in five stages using a patented system. The trailer is equipped with a parking brake; a handbrake is not currently available.

According to the manufacturer, the SE2 is not only particularly directionally stable thanks to its rigid aluminium frame, but is also one of the lightest 2-seater child trailers with suspension on the market, depending on the equipment. The Joytrax SE2 is now available in the colours red and green from specialist retailers and online via the manufacturer's website. The price of 599 euros includes the drawbar and a small buggy wheel as well as the push bar. Other accessories, such as the jogger set, are optionally available.

Sebastian Brust was born in 1979 and was originally socialised on his grandmother's folding bike, but has mainly been riding studded tyres since his fifth birthday. Loves all kinds of bikes - and merging with nature. Believes that disc brakes are much safer today than they were 15 years ago and thinks he has helped with his brake and pad tests. However, the trained vehicle technology engineer very much regrets that the bicycle industry is orientating itself on what he considers to be the wrong ideals of the car industry. At BIKE, he corrects, produces and organises digital content on the website.
