For 2021, three new wheels for e-mountain bikes are coming from Canada, Italy and France with prices ranging from 650 euros to 1574 euros.

Race Face Aeffect R

The component manufacturer from Vancouver is presenting a new carefree wheel for e-mountain bikers in 2021. The rim with a 30 mm rim width and 32 reinforced spokes is designed to withstand even the toughest enduro terrain. The special e-MTB hub and its freehub have also been designed for the increased chain tension of e-bikes. The wheelset is available in 27.5 and 29 inch. Weight: 2190 grams in 29 inch. 667 euros.

FSA i29 Carbon

The Italians are polishing up their E range for 2021. With the i29 Carbon, FSA now has a carbon wheel specifically for e-mountainbikes in its range. The asymmetric design ensures more spoke tension. The 29er version (also available in 27.5") has a rim width of 35 millimetres and weighs just 1837 grams. Maximum system weight: 150 kilos. The elegant wheelset costs 1574 euros.

Mavic E-Deemax

E-Deemax S30 and S35 are the names of the new E-MTB wheels from the French company. In 29 inches and with a rim width of 30 millimetres, the S30 is aimed at touring bikers. The weight is 2070 grams. The E-Deemax S35 was designed for enduro bikes. The key data: 35 mm rim width, 27.5 inches and 2030 grams. Both models cost 650 euros and are approved for a maximum total weight of 180 kilos. That inspires confidence!
