With the C33G, Syntace presents a new carbon wheelset for All Mountain, Enduro, Downhill and E-MTB. The extra-wide rim with an inner width of 33 millimetres is designed to enable high tyre stability with reduced air pressure and improve traction in technical passages. The carbon layup is designed for a balanced combination of high stiffness, low weight and controlled compliance. The C33G is designed for a maximum system weight of 150 kilograms and is therefore also suitable for e-bike use.
Syntace has the C30i in its programme for the cross-country, down-country and trail sectors. This wheelset combines a 30 millimetre wide inner rim width with 28 triple-cross spokes and high-quality straight-pull hubs.
The carbon rim body should impress with its low inertia, high impact resistance and a layup designed for vertical compliance. With a weight of 1449 grams for the wheelset, the C30i also remains competitive from a sporting point of view.
Both wheelsets have self-locking Q-Lock nipples, reinforced tapered nipple seats and a quick-sealing inner contour for easy tubeless installation. The straight-pull hubs with pawl freewheel and 36 ratchet points are characterised by high torque transmission and low maintenance requirements.
According to the manufacturer, the new hub body made of 7050 aluminium is also centred by new, scaled and now splash-proof Syntace MicroAdjust caps without play and at the same time without tension.
The Syntace W33G wheels are based on the W33i aluminium rim, which Syntace already uses successfully in other models. In combination with the Straight hubs, the aim is to create a robust and reliable wheel that also weighs less than comparable models: 1990 grams per pair. The manufacturer promises that this combination should contribute to an improved riding experience and more riding fun. However, the exact weight specifications are not mentioned in the information provided.
One of the main features of the W33G wheels is their versatility. Syntace positions them as the ideal choice for bikers who want to cover a wide range of applications. From leisurely day tours to more demanding all-mountain trails, the wheels should offer solid performance. This flexibility makes them particularly interesting for all-rounders who do not want to own a specialised wheel for every application. Syntace technology is also available at a fair price of 549 euros.
