With the Mavic Crossmax SLR 29er wheelset for marathon and cross-country competitions, the conversion from thru-axle to quick-release and vice versa is quick and easy.

Continuous test performance: 5500 km

During two weeks on Lanzarote, the SLRs also impressed with their high stability - especially on technically demanding descents. Only the circuit had to pay tribute to these tough conditions after a four-day stage race. At the end of the two weeks, over 1400 kilometres had been covered - without defects. It was only after more than 5000 kilometres of hard use that the rear wheel axle suddenly gave up the ghost. Before that, the freewheel and the bearings had not suffered any weaknesses and ran maintenance-free for over a year and a half.
