Hardly any mountain biker doesn't dream of the riding skills with which Australian Sam Hill has already won the Enduro World Series (EWS for short) twice. Nobody in the scene drifts through the bends with such ease, hardly any other racer is in his league. Sam Hill sometimes wins races with an incredible lead, leaving all the other world-class riders behind him.
Unfortunately, you can't buy the driving skills for any money in the world, but you can buy the equipment: Mavic presents a limited edition in honour of Sam Hill before. He has already won the overall standings of the EWS twice on the Deemax Pro wheels and rode his enduro bike to a strong sixth place at the 2017 World Championships in Cairns.
The Deemax Pro wheels are only available in 27.5-inch, but in the currently most common installation widths (front: 15x100/20x110 or 15x110, rear: 12x142 or 12x148). The aluminium rims measure 28 millimetres on the inside and come in the UST standard (UST: Universal Standard Tubeless). This means that no tubeless rim tape is required for use without a tube, as the rims are already completely sealed.
24 spokes on the front and rear wheels connect the hubs to the rims. The set is said to weigh 1850 grams and is approved for a system weight of up to 120 kilograms. The round wheels are available for 999 euros, even with two freewheel bodies: Sram XD and Shimano 8-11-speed (not Micro Spline). Mavic also makes sure that production is as regional as possible; the wheels are "Made in Europe".
Also new: the Mavic Deemax Pro Jersey for 85 euros. It is said to be highly wear-resistant, breathable and comfortable to wear. Available in sizes S to XL. You can also buy the Sam Hill T-shirt for 40 euros. This is very stylish and comes in sizes S to XXL.
