Carbon wheels with tubular tyres are extremely special and not very suitable for everyday use. In racing, however, the adhesive tyres with cotton carcass are highly valued.

To find out why, we put the elegant Superlogic wheels including Dugast-Rhino tyres on the bike. The performance accelerators weigh just 2365 grams as a set including tyres (manufacturer's specification front 529 g/rear 674 g). A real turbo. Despite the very narrow tyres, only 1.5 to 1.6 bar pressure was sufficient to collect kilometres without flats. Thanks to the extremely flexible carcass, the tyres dampen even the smallest bumps and generate plenty of traction, which would otherwise be impossible with this tyre width. Several noticeable and audible punctures had no consequences for the sewn-in inner tube or the carbon rims. CONCLUSION: lightweight competition wheelset with full acceleration and high comfort and traction thanks to tubular tyres.
