DT Swiss reworks 1700 Spline wheels
To complement its 1501 Spline One carbon wheelsets, DT Swiss is launching new, robust aluminium wheels. The 1700 Spline series is designed to impress mountain bikers, particularly in terms of price/performance.

DT Swiss has been building impressive aluminium wheels for years. What began with spokes in 1994 now includes Hubs, wheels, suspension forks and Vario seat posts. The success proves the Swiss right. Almost every manufacturer equips its mountain bikes with DT components. The durable, reliable aluminium wheels in particular have an excellent reputation in the scene - as recently demonstrated by our big BIKE wheel test in BIKE 7/20 confirmed. For the 2021 model year, new, hand-built aluminium wheels from Biel in Switzerland are rolling onto the market: the 1700 Spline series. Under the motto "what would you build", DT Swiss has put together its most popular rims, hubs and spokes to create complete wheels. EInsert-specific aluminium rims are laced to the 350 hubs by DT Swiss Competition spokes (2.0/1.8 mm). In addition, the 350 hub was upgraded with a lighter 36-tooth SL freehub body. The result is three aluminium wheelsets for Cross Country (XR 1700), All Mountain (XM 1700) and Enduro (EX 1700):

Product code on every DT Swiss product

From model year 2021, DT Swiss will be introducing a standardised DOT code on its products. A small sticker will provide owners or mechanics with detailed information. The code can be used to quickly and easily find operating instructions, service videos or suitable spare parts. You can either scan the code using the app or enter the combination of numbers into a mask on the Support website in. It contains all DT products from 2017 onwards.
